About OptiLens 3D & Editorial Standards
Precision Ophthalmic Engineering, Optical Mathematics & Dispensing Software
OptiLens 3D is an interactive web workstation engineered for optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical laboratory technicians, and vision science students. It bridges theoretical ophthalmic equations and real-world lens edging through accurate 3D WebGL thickness visualization, 360° meridian scanning, and multi-index material comparisons.

Clinical Estimation Notice
OptiLens 3D calculations are intended as clinical and pre-edging estimations based on standard base curves, nominal refractive indices, and uniform edge bevel safety allowances. Final physical thickness surfaced by computerized optical generators may vary slightly depending on individual lens blank manufacturers, specific frame bevel depth, and custom freeform digital surfacing algorithms.
